invite you to celebrate the 2010 summer season with a
Sunset Eco-Voyage
The voyage is limited to 30 participants, with a maximum of 16 kayak participants.

Round trip from Langley Harbor Marina to Possession Point

No kayaking experience is necessary – basic instruction will be provided.
Led by seasoned Expedition Leaders Susie Richards and Chris Burt, we will travel 12 nautical miles aboard the 65-foot Indigo to Possession Point, where kayakers can explore the surrounding waters led by guides Ed Young and Nick Horton of Whidbey Island Kayaking Company. Participants who choose not to kayak can enjoy the sunset and sample finger foods and drinks.
All participants can engage in on-board learning rotations to deepen environmental awareness and connection:
- Marine Science: Hands-on citizen science with microscope observation of plankton, learning about their role in the ecosystem.
- Puget Sound Awareness: Exploration of major Puget Sound issues and simple changes we can make to help the Sound.
- Pilot House: Spend time with Captain Chris Burt learning about navigation and regional natural history.

Please plan to arrive at the Langley harbor marina by 4:00 p.m. We will leave at 4:30 p.m. rain or shine.
