Discovery Voyages serve students, teachers, schools and community partners. The focus is on teaching and learning, and participants travel aboard the Indigo for a day, weekend or longer, engaging in exciting and meaningful hands-on learning and service activities on Puget Sound waters.

Discovery Voyages are available to K-12 students, college and university students and teachers looking to fulfill credits for the Service Learning Certificate Program.

SEA offers:

• One- to five-day learning voyages aboard the Indigo.
• Learning stations aboard the Indigo which include water-quality testing, plankton research and other marine science experiences, navigation, piloting, boating safety, history, the arts and other unique learning experiences custom designed for the learning levels, needs and desired outcomes of our program participants.
• Service-learning experiences in collaboration with state park rangers and other government entities.
• An in-depth, one-of-a-kind learning experience.
• Year-round availability.
